The hamlet of Weissenburgberg lies at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level and offers peace and quiet and beautiful vistas into the Simmental and towards the mountain Niesen.

Two hiking trails lead past Chalet Michèle - one leading to the to the local mountain Stockhorn, the other, called Simmentaler Hausweg, runs between the towns of Wimmis and Boltigen. The forest and nature reserve Weissenburg is also nearby.
The well-marked hiking trails lead you through the spectacular landscape of the foothills of the Alps, past historical farmhouses and along gushing mountain brooks up to flower-covered meadows and traditional Alpine huts.

You can cool down or do some kayak in the river Simme.
Climbing garden, indoor swimming pool and further leisure activity offers can be found nearby - see
